Textiles have interested me since I can remember.
The touch with my fingertips, the smell, how the fabric feels on my skin, does it flutter or not and what about its color or print..?
I had big questions in mind – How to dye fabrics in a natural way? How fabrics were dyed before the industrial age?
I remember the first day when I decided I was going to research the subject. I went to nature and looked for the flower with the most striking color. I picked some pink bougainvillea flowers, came back home, put them in a pot with water, lit a fire and waited. In a few minutes, magic happened there! I was speechless at the discovery. Since then, I have studied dozens of plants and my curiosity is growing.
In the past, they used recipes that were passed on in the family from generation to generation, the secrets of the plants, and how to produce colors.
Nowadays few people are engaged in the craft of natural dyeing. I was privileged to learn from several talented women and spent many hours of self-researching.
The idea to produce ecological textiles was born at the beginning of COVID-19 virus. This passion includes some of the things I like in life – fabrics, cooking, spending time in nature, recycling materials, creativity, and a lot of patience for processes.
every color that is produced, every print that is published is unique and special like a fingerprint of nature
understanding of the work processes and work order thoroughly from start to end
personal attitude and understanding of the customer's needs
every process, product, thought and idea passes through all my senses until reaching the moment of fulfillment with the hands
a feeling that you are seen and understood for producing the perfect garment/item for you that will remind you that life is a continuous process of accuracy and creativity
we all came close to nature. life and society have distanced us to the point of feeling alienation at times. A renewed connection to the sources of life while reacquainting ourselves with nature and the gifts she has to offer us
Slow fashion is a set of processes related to the production and use of textile products in a way that observes fairness in all stages of production, transportation, marketing, and sale while observing working conditions and preserving the environment.
It is possible to make something in the same style but it never comes out exactly the same. Each leaf print is like a unique fingerprint of nature. The colors are made from living materials that change and depend on a wide ecosystem and they also change according to the seasons.
It is true that the price is not for everyone. Uniqueness overcomes money. I believe in quality over quantity. Better one or two pieces in the closet that I really like than 10 items that are just "okay".
Can be machine washed at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle with ecological soap. Hang to dry in a shaded place, do not put in a dryer
I have some samples in the studio and many pictures to show my works. I do not keep goods in the studio.
Usually between 3-5 weeks, depending on the status of the orders and depending on the project.
